Traditional ETL is a process in which data is extracted from different data sources, transformed and then loaded to a data warehouse for analytics. This process was useful as data warehouses were not powerful.
Nowadays this process is changed to ETL due to emerging cloud-based data warehouses that have the horsepower to do transformations at a better speed.
WHAT DO WE DO?
We at UMANG use Stitch to do the extract and loading process which is much faster than traditional ways for data analytics projects.
The Stitch replication process consists of three steps: extracting, preparing and loading. During the Extract part of the replication process, Stitch will use the replication settings to determine how often to replicate data, what tables and columns to replicate, and whether to replicate data incrementally or fully from the data source.
